Text: Luke 1:10-38   (King James Version)

"Father, I am your servant, willing and desiring to be used to bless your people."

The Fields are white and the laborers are few!
C.H. Spurgeon said, "If God does not save a man by truth he certainly will not save them by lies, and if the old gospel is not competent to work a revival, then we will do without the revival;"

Luke 15:1   Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

Luke 15:2   And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

Luke 15:3   And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

Luke 15:4   What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

Luke 15:5   And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

Luke 15:6   And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and

neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

Luke 15:7   I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Luke 15:8   Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

Luke 15:9   And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

Luke 15:10   Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of  the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Let's pray. Father,

Open my eyes so I can see Your truth.

Open my ears so I can hear Your voice.
Open my mind so I can understand Your Word.
And open my heart so I may receive all that You want me to receive. AMEN

Luke 19:10   For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

The saddest thing to witness is someone going through the motions of religion with no inward life, (convinced that because they know the steps, They have the power)

We are living in a time, where the enemy is really trying to take you out. I'm not talking about taking you out to dinner or something like that. I'm talking about killing you, destroying your dreams, stealing your futures. He's going to and from, seeking whom he may devour, the devil is busy. He's not taking a coffee break, nor is he on vacation. The devil recognizes that if he's going to bring down, as many Christians as possible, he has to work hard, but not only is he working over-time, he's working triple time.

James 4:7   Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:8   Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

James 4:9   Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

James 4:10   Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

The most often used word for prayer in the New Testament is the same as the root word for worship? The church wasn't born when the people were singing, neither was it during a good sermon. It was born when they were all just sitting there in prayer waiting on the Lord. That's when the Holy Spirit was poured out and believers became the temple. "O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer".

Acts 2:1   And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 2:2   And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Matthew 9:37   Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

Matthew 9:38   Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Matthew 10:1   And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

In Deuteronomy 32
You will find Moses is speaking to the Israelites used an unusual analogy to illustrate how God "grew" his children. He compares God to a mother eagle who is trying to teach her young to fly. "As an eagle stirreth up her the Lord alone did lead him.." Vs 11,12 Why does God "Stir up our nests?"

A. THE COMFORT OF THE NEST. (The nest is the young eagle's world)
1) Great Care goes into the building of the nest. (It takes up to 6 weeks to build)
a) Over five feet in diameter and can weigh up to 2000 #, made of a variety of materials and sticks.
b) The inside of the nest is covered with soft grass, hides or fur to provide comfort to her young.
c) Built over 75 feet high in trees or outcroppings to gain a better view of the area.

B. THE CHALLENGE OF CHANGE (Eagles are not created for "comfortable nests")
1) As the eagle matures, the mother begins to "Stir up the nest" by removing the soft grass and fur, exposing the rough sticks and brambles beneath.
2) She usually does this over time from the inside of the nest first, trying to get the eagle to the move to the edge.
3) The mother eagle knows that there is danger in staying in the nest too long. (Winter's coming)

Church there is a Storm brewing on the horizon and too many Christians are still in the comfort of their nest!

Nests are created for nurturing, not abiding.
We have a tendency to grow "comfortable" in our "nests".
There are dangers in staying in the "nests of life" too long.
"Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction." (Micah 2:10)
God often "Stirs" up our nests, making us "uncomfortable" to prepare us for flight.

In the nest, everything is provided for the eagle. (It is easy to live off of the labor of others.)
But then the mother stops bringing the food to the nest for the young eagle.
She will fly with food just out of reach of the eagle, forcing him to "jump up" and stretch his wings.

(Notice: what he thinks is going to kill him is actually preparing him for flight.)
Eventually the eagle's hunger drives him to the edge of the nest where he spreads his wings and catches the wind, gliding down to find his own food.
He fails to find anything at first and overcome by weakness he comes to a rough landing.

The parents are watching and when the young eagle has exhausted himself, they drop food at his feet to reward his efforts.
Many of our "hard times" are actually "flight" preparations.  We are not called to understand God, but to obey him. Faith doesn't' grow through comfort, but through crisis .Therefore our "failures" need never be final and God is waiting just beyond our obedience to bless us and take us to the next phase. "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;

*The problem today with a lot of people is that they are basing major life decisions on feelings, on their perceptions of the moment.
But feelings can change in a moment of time.
Vital information could be just around the corner.
So basing your decisions on your feelings is a recipe for disaster.

Acts 4:31
31And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

shake:=move, shake (together), which can [-not] be shaken, stir up.

I Believe I hear the rustling in the mulberry trees,
I believe I hear the brustling of the lions mane,
I Believe I hear a Noise,
It seems that noise and shaking go together, ( I Believe we're getting ready for a fresh anointing of the Holy Ghost and Power,

When we as the church shake ourselves from this spirit of apathy and indifference, and we shake ourselves loose from these worldly enticements, and we shake off the dust of spiritual inactivity and we shake ourselves loose from unforgiveness and resentment and criticism and judgmentalism, Then we are going to experience the mighty power of God coming upon us to do exploits in Jesus name.

"go ye therefore into all the nations".

Matthew 10:7   And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 10:8   Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

 Go ye therefore..
Is a command from almighty God Himself, it means to move, to do something, to go somewhere, to go outside of this building and go get them.

When Jesus told his disciples to Go, what did He mean? I'm glad you asked me, He meant, to go He meant

We must get alone with Jesus if we are to renew daily in the Holy Ghost.
This is not for the slothful or the lazy . But the Word of God speaks of that in

Proverbs 20:4
King James Version (KJV)
4The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing

I don't know about you but I want my harvest! The only way we are going to see it is to fulfill

John 12:24   Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

John 12:25   He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

John 12:26   If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

I believe as Christians, we need to know when we are to wait patiently and when it is our time to move. Amen? So look at your neighbor and say, Let's Go Get Them!

You do know the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are but a few. So today were not cutting any corners, but we are going to get to the bottom of it all. The bottom of what you say? The reason why we won't Go and Get Them.
