Sun Am Worship               I Shall not Cast away my Confidence in Him alone

Text:  Mark 5:1-20   (King James Version)

"Father, I am your servant, willing and desiring to be used to bless your people."

The Fields are white and the laborers are few!
C.H. Spurgeon said, "If God does not save a man by truth he certainly will not save them by lies, and if the old gospel is not competent to work a revival, then we will do without the revival;"

Hebrews 10:35   Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.

Hebrews 10:36   For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Hebrews 10:37   For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Hebrews 10:38   Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Hebrews 10:39   But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Let's pray. Father,

Open my eyes so I can see Your truth.

Open my ears so I can hear Your voice.
Open my mind so I can understand Your Word.
And open my heart so I may receive all that You want me to receive. AMEN

Before we get started, I need to prophesy and tell you this morning: God said it is not as it appears! You are only seeing with the natural and the finite eye. I see through the infinite and the spiritual for I am eternal Past, Present and Future. The thing that has hindered you and tried to destroy you is turning quickly unto your salvation "Deliverance" Help is on the way, and I came to tell you (its closer than you think). God said for me to tell you: He has heard your cry and he has seen your tears, and help is on the way. Don't try to understand it nor try to figure me out! Acknowledge me with child like faith and trust as a child in his natural parents. There's a miracle in the making.

Psalms 20:7   Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Hebrews 10;35 , Luke 8;49-50 ,Matthew 14; 29-30 ,Romans 4 ;19-21
The word of God tells us not to lose our confidence which has great reward. Our spiritual victory depends on our faith. Peter walked on the water as long as he looked to Jesus and had faith in him. But he began to drown as soon as he lost his faith. He was filled with fear because he started looking at the storm and the waves. In our own lives we can walk in victory as long as we are firm in our faith in God's goodness and faithfulness. But we will drown in our problems and difficulties if we lose our faith and begin to doubt and fear.

2.DO NOT BE WEARY IN DOING GOOD For all that live Godly shall suffer! But

2 Timothy 3:12   Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But!
Galatians 6;9 ,Acts 10;1-4, Daniel 10;12-14 , Matthew 14;13-14
The word of tells us not to become weary in doing good for in due time we shall reap our reward. Sometimes difficulties and trials makes us feel like quitting .We feel it is not worth suffering so much. We feel that we may not have got the results we expected. We may feel like stopping the good work that we are doing. But God says do not stop the good work you are doing. Cornelius kept on praying and doing good even though he did not know the true God. But God rewarded him and revealed the truth to him. Daniel kept on praying until the answer came. He did not stop praying when the devil prevented his answer by 21 days. Jesus continued to heal the sick even after hearing the shocking news of the murder of his cousin John the Baptist. When the devil has not become weary in doing evil, surely God's children should not become weary in doing good. So keep on doing the good work and you will be rewarded.

John 15;16 , I Kings 19;4,7 ,John 21;3,17 ,Jonah 4;9-11
The word of God tells us that we are chosen by God and ordained to bear fruit. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. Sometimes due to discouragement we feel like finishing our race.

Elijah once felt that way. He wanted to die. But God told him that he still had a long way to go. Peter went back to fishing and but God restored him because He still had a lot of work for Peter to do. Even in our lives let us not be hasty in deciding our destiny .Let God's perfect will be completed in our lives.

Isaiah 40 ;27-31 , Isaiah 49;14-16, Genesis 16;13 , Psalms 115;12
Luke 5; 4-5
The word of God tells us that God is always mindful of us and will never forsake us. He promises strength when we are weak and weary.

However sometimes we feel that we are forgotten and forsaken. Especially when our difficulties are prolonged and our strength grows weak. But it is precisely in these moments that we must believe in God's faithfulness. He has promised to renew our strength like the eagles. When old feathers fall away the eagle waits till new feathers grow on it .Then it begins to fly once again. Even in our lives sometimes the old feathers which had helped us fly in the past begin to fall away. However let us not panic but wait till God gives us new feathers and start flying again.

John 2;4 , Genesis 22;10-12 , Psalms 105;19 , Galatians 4;4
The word of God tells us that God has a time for everything. In the first miracle that Jesus did at Cana he waited for God's time. When Abraham had to sacrifice his son Isaac. God waited till the last moment to stop him. In the life of Joseph he was tested severely till God's time came for him to be delivered. So let us remember the timing of God in our lives and not lose hope.

Psalms 23:4   Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalms 23:5   Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Psalms 1:3   And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Romans 4:21   And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Romans 8:38   For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Romans 8:39   Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Timothy 1:11   Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

2 Timothy 1:12   For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

2 Timothy 1:13   Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
