Text: Psalms 14:1-3   (King James Version)

  "Father, I am your servant, willing and desiring to be used to bless your people."

                            The Fields are white and the laborers are few!
C.H. Spurgeon said, "If God does not save a man by truth he certainly will not save them by lies, and if the old gospel is not competent to work a revival, then we will do without the revival;"

Psalms 14:1   To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Psalms 14:2   The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Psalms 14:3   They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Let's pray. Father,

Open my eyes so I can see Your truth.

Open my ears so I can hear Your voice.
Open my mind so I can understand Your Word.
And open my heart so I may receive all that You want me to receive. AMEN

God doesn't wink at sin. Sin corrupts. Jesus warned his disciples, "Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees." And what is done in private has a public effect.

1 Corinthians 5:6   Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Psalms 66:18   If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

Romans 6:10   For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Romans 6:11   Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:12   Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Romans 6:13   Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Romans 6:14   For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6:15   What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Romans 6:16   Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Romans 6:17   But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Romans 6:18   Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

My sin cannot be isolated from you, and your sin cannot be isolated from me. There are corporate consequences of our sins; even those that are hidden from the eyes of men.

One man Achan  in Joshua had stole property which belonged to God, had taken of the spoils of victory that were to be set apart for the Lord. One individual in the camp had betrayed God's trust, and the verdict from heaven was not, Achan hath sinned,' but Israel hath sinned.' One man had failed, and the whole army was defeated. You see, the children of Israel were a nation—they were brought to redemption ground as one man, the weakest of them and the strongest of them. They were a complete entity; God was dealing with them as a corporate body through whom His purposes for men were to be fulfilled."

Where one member of a local fellowship is guilty before God of sin, the verdict from heaven is, My people have sinned.' When one man steps out of blessing and does something contrary to God's will, the verdict of the all-searching eye of our Master is, My people have sinned.'"

A church family can be defeated by the malignancy of an individual's unconfessed sin.

1 Corinthians 5:1   It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

1 Corinthians 5:2   And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

1 Corinthians 5:3   For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

1 Corinthians 5:4   In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Corinthians 5:5   To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1 Corinthians 5:6   Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

1 Corinthians 5:7   Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Hebrews 12:14   Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Colossians 3:5   Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Colossians 3:6   For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

Colossians 3:7   In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

Colossians 3:8   But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Colossians 3:9   Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

Colossians 3:10   And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

2 Corinthians 5:17   Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Ephesians 4:21   If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

Ephesians 4:22   That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Ephesians 4:23   And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Ephesians 4:24   And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Ephesians 4:25   Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Only God can turn disaster into hope and victory.

The place where Achan was stoned was called the Valley of Achor as a reminder of the disaster that came to Israel because of his sin. Many years later, however, it's given a new meaning. In the book of Hosea (2:15), God says that the Valley of Achor, which means "trouble, or disaster," will become a "door of hope."
Where once there was defeat God gives victory, where once there was disaster God gives new hope. In the same book of Hosea he writes, "Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds." (Hosea 6:1). God is sovereign, and His desire for His people is not defeat, but victory.

It is Time to return unto GOD with our Whole hearts

Jeremiah 24:7   And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

2 Chronicles 7:14   If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Psalms 24:3   Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

Psalms 24:4   He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath no lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Psalms 24:5   He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Psalms 24:6   This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
