Text: 2 Chronicles  13 12-18  (King James Version)

"Father, I am your servant, willing and desiring to be used to bless your people."

The Fields are white and the laborers are few!
C.H. Spurgeon said, "If God does not save a man by truth he certainly will not save them by lies, and if the old gospel is not competent to work a revival, then we will do without the revival;"

2 Chronicles 13:12   And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.

2 Chronicles 13:13   But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about  behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them.

2 Chronicles 13:14   And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.

2 Chronicles 13:15   Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

2 Chronicles 13:16   And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand.

2 Chronicles 13:17   And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.

2 Chronicles 13:18   Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.

Let's pray. Father, Open my eyes so I can see Your truth.
Open my ears so I can hear Your voice.
Open my mind so I can understand Your Word.

And open my heart so I may receive all that You want me to receive. AMEN

1. SHOUT OF WAR
Here we see how powerful it is to rely on God in times of trouble, and in all times. We see how Abijah and Judah look around them to only see that they were completely surrounded by there enemy, talk about being in trouble.
You see a lot of times satan and his demons surround you and try to distract you from Gods way of life. He will surround you with many things just to see you go back to your old ways, to see you get mad reject God or blame God for all your troubles.Thats what he wants you to do, and he'll surround you with things like: problems in your marriage, family, sons or daughters in drugs, addictions, pornagraphy, sicknesses, losing your home, losing your job, no money in the house, and so on, just to name a few. The enemy wants you to freak out in the situation and just give up, but to us thats just not an option. In verse (v15) it says they gave a battle cry, in the (NIV) its says a shout of war.

You see they didn't get scared or freak out while they were in the middle of the enemy and of the war. We need to realize that God is our ruler, chief (v12) that he will guide you to victory and not to defeat. The effect to the Shout of War is (v15-17) God will destroy the problems that are in front of you, if you just trust him. He destroyed 5000 of the best men of Israel out 8000, the remaining had to flee cause they were scared, you see because when you rely on God, and give that shout of war everyday you WILL have the victory. One last thing on the shout of war, you need to know that everyday is a constant spiritual war or battle in our life against the enemy and his followers, so we must be alert at all times.

2.SHOUT OF FAITH
In the book of (Joshua 6:5,20) we see the shout of faith. God spoke to Joshua and told him what he had do to have victory. Now stop and think, the Lord tells him that he has to walk around the city 1 time everyday for 7 days and on the 7th day they would make one loud blast on the trumpets, and he said when you hear the sound GIVE A LOUD SHOUT. Joshua had to tell this to the people and whether they believed him or not they decided to trust God and have faith in God even though it sounded weird that with a shout the walls would fall, they pretty much said," if God told this to Joshua that this is what we must do, then we'll do it." In (v20) the effect of the shout of faith occurs. What happens? The walls fell completely to the ground and the men of Joshua took over the city. (Hebrews 11:30) says that by faith the walls of Jericho fell.

Isn't it amazing to know that what may seem impossible to man, its possible to God. The bible says in (Luke 1:37) that there is nothing impossible to God. Isn't that just amazing!! Even though we go through problems that may seem impossible we need to stop walking in life with our natural eyes and start walking with our eyes of faith,(2cor 5:7)," Walk by faith, not by sight."

We need to trust God and have faith in him that even though it might not make sense to us, he knows what he's doing. And if we just have Faith in him and give that shout of faith in the middle of the impossible, God will break down the walls and make thing possible, cause thats the kind of God we serve!!

3.The Shout of Joy (my favorite)
(1Samuel 4:5) says clearly that when the men shouted with joy the ground shook. How powerful is the shout of joy? In (v7) the bible says that the Philistines were afraid and said we're in trouble, they shook with fear. We have to see that when we shout we gotta take action, the Lord will strike our enemy with fear, and thats when we strike on our enemy. In (Mathew 10:1) the Lord gave us authority over sicknesses and demonic spirits through Jesus Christ. And in (James 2:19) the bible says that even the demons believe in the one true God and shake with fear.
So what is the effect to the SHOUT OF JOY? That the Lord strikes fear into the enemy, that if can shout with with joy in the middle of our tribulations, with faith and a shout of war the Lord will make the grounds shake, our enemies will tremble with fear, and any obstacles in our paths any walls that are preventing us from getting to the other side, they will collapse, they will be no match for the power of God.

The secret is waking up to each with a joyful heart, giving those shouts to the Lord almighty. (Psalms 118:24) says,"This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad today". In the same chapter in (v15) it says "Shouts of joy and victory come from the tents of those who do right: the Lord has done powerful things." Wake up joyful praising God even though you don't have the money to pay your rent or your kids are in bad things or our marriage is falling apart God will provide. But i tell you again, shout to the Lord with faith, trust him, he knows what he's doing. (John 16:33) he tells us that we would have troubles but to trust him, because he overcame the world. WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE!!

Blind Bartemeus' Shout of faith caused a powerful move of God and caught Jesus' attention, which in the end caused a miraculous healing and gave Blind Bartemeus' his sight.
There was power in Bartemeus' shout! And I am convinced today that we can have the same power & impact in our shout & faith as Bartemeus' had back then, many years ago...

"Power packed" shout:

A.) Have faith in God beforehand & shout BEFORE God makes the move.
- Bartemeus' shout was powerful because he shouted for Jesus before he even got there.
-Vs. 47: "He heard..." Before he even saw God in the physical state the Bible says he began shouting because he heard that Jesus was coming & he had faith enough to believe!
- Like Bartemeus, sometimes we need to take the little bit of faith we have & walk out on it and begin to shout for what he yet WILL do!!
- A little shout goes a long way!!!
- Talk about the woman in Bible with issue of blood & how her persistance paid off.
- Begin to shout for what God yet WILL do!!!

B.) Ignore The Crowd!
- (vs. 48: "He shouted all the more...")Even though the crowd told him to be quiet, Bartemeus still shouted!
- You gotta ignore the crowd & the play haters!!
- People will do anything they can to stop your praise!!
- Does it really take ALL of that??
- People a lot of times don't like to see other people getting blessed & praising God for it!
- People know your GLORY but they don't know your STORY!
- Be a LEADER, not a FOLLOWER!
- You've got to move beyond what people think about you & bless God anyhow!

C.) Take affirmitive action off of your shout...
- (vs. 50: "Throwing his cloak aside...") Bartemeus took action! He didn't just sit back & wait for God to do something, he met him 1/2 way!!
- Sometimes you gotta meet God 1/2 way!!!
- Take an active approach to your shout!
- Matt. 17:20
- A little goes a long way with God!!

There's power in your shout & to move beyond your current situation & give God praise for what he yet WILL do!
- Also don't let the devil steal your shout!!

III. SHOUT BECAUSE GOD DEFENDS US

Ps 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever SHOUT for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. (KJV)

A. NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER
Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.(KJV)

B. LIEING LIPS SHALL BE SILENCED
Ps 31:18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. (KJV)

IV. SHOUT BECAUSE GOD DWELLS INSIDE US

Isa 12:6 Cry out and SHOUT, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee. (KJV)

A. GOD IS IN YOU
Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: (KJV)

B. GOD GIVES LIFE TO THOSE HE DWELLS IN
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV)

C. GOD DOESN'T PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT RACE OF PERSON HE DWELLS IN
Col 3:11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. (KJV)

D. GOD MAKES OVERCOMERS OF THOSE HE DWELLS IN
I Jn 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.(KJV)

V. SHOUT BECAUSE GOD DELIVERS US
Isa 44:23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: SHOUT, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. (KJV)

A. THE PSALMS PROCLAIMED IT
Ps 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. (KJV)

B. THE APOSTLE PAUL CONFIRMED IT
2 Tim 3:11 "...what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. (KJV)

VI. SHOUT BECAUSE GOD DESTROYS THE WALLS
Josh 6:5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. (KJV)

A. THE WALLS ARE NOT DESTROYED UNTIL THE SHOUTING STARTS
1. There are many walls being built up between people in churches
2. Those walls can come down when we lose our pride and shout
3. Those walls can come down when we lose our prejudice and shout

B. SOME CLAIM TO BE SHOUTING ON THE INSIDE
1. A man once told me that he just can't shout outwardly, but he shouts on the inside.
2. I was at a basketball game where his boy scored the winning basket and he jumped up and started shouting.
3. If he could shout at a ballgame because his son made a goal why not shout at a church meeting because his boy reached the goal of accepting the blood of Jesus to save his soul?

VII. SHOUT BECAUSE GOD DISMISSES THE CHARGES

Ps 32:10-11
10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, MERCY shall compass him about.
11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and SHOUT for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
GOD'S MERCY MEANS WE DON'T GET WHAT WE DESERVE

1. God's mercy dismisses the charges that were against us.
2. Rom.3:23 We are all sinners
3. Rom 6:23a The wages of our sin is death
4. Rom 5:8 Christ died FOR us - He paid the penalty so the charges could be dismissed.
5. Rom 6:23b The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
6. Eph 2:8-9 We receive this gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ
7. ARE YOU TRUSTING IN JESUS FOR YOUR SALVATION? If you are, then you really have something to shout about!
