Text: Dan 10:1-15   (King James Version)

"Father, I am your servant, willing and desiring to be used to bless your people."

The Fields are white and the laborers are few!
C.H. Spurgeon said, "If God does not save a man by truth he certainly will not save them by lies, and if the old gospel is not competent to work a revival, then we will do without the revival;"

Daniel 10:1   In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

Daniel 10:2   In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.

Daniel 10:3   I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

Daniel 10:4   And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;

Daniel 10:5   Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:

Daniel 10:6   His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

Daniel 10:7   And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

Daniel 10:8   Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.

Daniel 10:9   Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.

Daniel 10:10   And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

Daniel 10:11   And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

Daniel 10:12   Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

Daniel 10:13   But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Daniel 10:14   Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

Daniel 10:15   And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.

Let's pray. Father,  Open my eyes so I can see Your truth.

Open my ears so I can hear Your voice.
Open my mind so I can understand Your Word.
And open my heart so I may receive all that You want me to receive. AMEN

Prayer is not a passive act on our part
Prayer is AN AGGRESSIVE, ACTIVE MINISTRY. You are putting your shoulder to the wheel and moving the forces of heaven.

James 5:16   Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

James 5:17   Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

James 5:18   And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

God is no respecter of persons!

Daniel prayed 3 times every day
 He prayed in his room
He prayed in the lions' den
 He prayed for wisdom
 He prayed for guidance

Matthew 11:12   And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

When Daniel prayed demonic forces rose up (the prince of Persia) and angelic warfare broke out. You know what that means? That means when you pray, you turn loose the very powers of heaven. That means when you pray, you have the power to battle the very forces of darkness. That means when you pray, angels are willing to fight to answer your prayers! Daniel prayed 21 days.

The angel was sent the 1st day he prayed, but didn't arrive until the 21st day. Now here's the question: What might have happened if Daniel had GIVEN UP or QUIT his prayers on the 14th or the 15th day? Would the angel still have arrived with his answer?

As Hebrews 1:14 tells us
"angels (are) ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation"
WHEN YOU PRAY angels are at your beck & call

Many Christians would have trouble praying for 21 days for anything ( ask for a show of hands of people who remembered praying for that long for any issue).

Now that we have the attention of God and the enemy do we bail short or fight the fight of faith?

Luke writes:

Luke 18:1   And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Luke 18:2   Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

Luke 18:3   And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

Luke 18:4   And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

Luke 18:5   Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

Luke 18:6   And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

Luke 18:7   And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Luke 18:8   I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

REPEAT: Jesus taught us - we should always pray and not give up

WHY should we always pray and not give up?
I mean is God deaf?
Is it hard to get His attention?
Do we have to keep bothering Him until He throws up His hands in disgust and says "If I don't grant their request I'll never get any rest?"
NO.. Jesus taught us always pray and not give up because, when we pray, our prayers carry weight. EVERY TIME you and I pray we unleash more and more power from the throne of God
Matthew 7:7   Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Matthew 7:8   For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Matthew 7:9   Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Matthew 7:10   Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Matthew 7:11   If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

I think we have to get desperate! Hungry! Thirsty!

Psalms 120:1   A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.

Mark 5:25   And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

Mark 5:26   And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

Mark 5:27   When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Mark 5:28   For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

Mark 5:29   And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Mark 5:30   And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Mark 5:31   And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Mark 5:32   And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

Mark 5:33   But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

Mark 5:34   And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

This woman was desperate!

2 Timothy 1:11   Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

2 Timothy 1:12   For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

REREAD Daniel 10:12-13. Now consider what this says:
From the very 1st day Daniel prayed his prayers were heard and an angel was sent.

Are you praying for someone in your family to become a Christian?
Every prayer you pray puts more and more pressure on that person to listen to God..
Do you pray for your friends in their daily struggles
Every prayer you pray imparts to them more and more power from God
Do you have difficulties with someone at work
Every prayer you lift up to God's throne brings God's power to bear on difficult people and situations.
